SCCC Schedules First Round of Interviews in Presidential Search

Joe Denoyer - August 7, 2020 4:40 pm

LIBERAL, Kan. — In its search for the eleventh president of Seward County Community College the Board of Trustees has selected five candidates for its initial round of interviews, which will begin Aug. 11 and continue through Aug. 25. Current president Dr. Ken Trzaska will complete his term in mid-September, and the board aims to identify a successor in a timely fashion, said SCCC Board Chair Ron Oliver.

Each candidate will interview in person, meet with several committees representing students, faculty and staff, and stakeholders, and tour campus. In lieu of the large public receptions that have been utilized in previous searches, the community is invited to “meet” the candidates through a live radio appearance.

Details will be announced via the college’s official news and information site, scccnews.com and social media, as the schedule is finalized.
