K-27 Resurfacing Project to begin in Hamilton and Stanton Counties

Joe Denoyer - July 6, 2020 8:03 am

Crews are expected to begin a resurfacing project on K-27 in Hamilton and Stanton counties on Thursday, July 9, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation. This mill and overlay project begins north of the U.S. 160 junction in Stanton County and continues north to the U.S. 50/K27 intersection in Hamilton County.

Motorists should expect delays as traffic will be reduced to one lane guided by a pilot car in the work zone.

Venture Corporation of Great Bend is the contractor on this $4.3 million mill and overlay project, which is expected to be completed in September, weather permitting.

For more information on this project, contact Larry Meyer, Area Construction Manager, at (620) 384-7821 or Lisa Knoll, KDOT District 6 Public Affairs Manager, at (620) 260-6397.
