Seward County Health Department Performing COVID-19 Testing by Appointment Only at the Fairgrounds

Joe Denoyer - April 20, 2020 5:49 pm

The Seward County Health Department is performing sample collection for COVID-19 testing at the Seward County Fairgrounds. This COVID-19 testing is by appointment only.
Persons who attempt to get tested without an appointment will be asked to exit the line prior to being tested. Persons who are symptomatic should contact their local physician or the Seward County Health Department (620-626-3369).
Patients will provide their information to the Health Department over the phone, the Health
Department will then set an appointment time for the patient to be tested, or will send the patient to their Health Care provider for further medical screening.
Once the Health Department sets the appointment, the patient will be directed to the test site at
an appropriate time for sample collection.
Signs have been posted to direct patients as they enter the fairgrounds. Once on the fairgrounds, patients waiting to be tested will be guided through a series of lanes and will not have to exit their vehicles. This drive-thru testing minimizes interaction between patients and health care providers.
Tests results will be reported to the patient once the testing is complete, this may take several
days.
