Liberal Scholars Bowl Makes State

At the regional tournament Thursday at Wichita East, the LHS varsity scholars bowl team composed of senior Eduardo Avila, junior Brandon Nguyen, junior Milly McClure, sophomore Dennis Le, sophomore Isaac Galindo and freshman Seth Whitaker, went 2-3 in prelims, placing third in pool play, which allowed them to advance to championship rounds where they again went 2-3 and got 4th place overall at the tournament. Placing 4th allowed them to advance to the state tournament for the second year in a row. The state tournament will be held at Witchita North High School on Feb 15th
