SkillsUSA officers from Seward County Community College/Area School recently attended classes in Hesston.

Jonathan Yowell of Hugoton was selected as a state officer. After officer training, he will be selected for a specific office.

Cory Bransgrove of Beaver, Okla. And Alisha Starkey of Liberal won a blue ribbon for their bulletin board.

Matthew Olson of Liberal won a blue ribbon on his speech on the American Way of Life. Jasmin Mitchell of Liberal won a white ribbon for twittering. Brandon Bruner of Hooker, Okla., and Yowell participated in the salute to he nationź??s soldiers, posting colors and offering a verbal tribute.
