One vehicle accident in Meade County

At approximately 8:27 Tuesday at K23 milepost 21 miles SW of the city of Meade a 2000 Ford Explorer driven by Robert R. Ledgerwood of Artesia New Mexico was northbound on K23 negotiating a long left hand curve.  The vehicle for unknown reasons left the roadway to the right at highway speeds, over corrected back across the roadway and entered the west ditch in a passenger side broadside skid.  the vehicle then tipped in the soft ditch bottom and rolled 3.5 times,coming to rest on it’s top next to a barbed wire fence.  Mr. Ledgerwood was transported to Meade County Hospital with suspected serious injuries.
