City Commission meets and approved purchase of equipment for Police Dept.

During their regular meeting last night the Liberal City Commission disussed and approved several item from the agenda.  The Commission meeting began with a call to order, followed by Roll Call, the Pledge of Allegiance and an Invocation.

The week of July 23rd thru 29th was officially Proclaimed “ Health Center Week.”

All items on the Consent Agenda were approved unanimously.

It was agreed that the City Commission dissolve its agreement with LSCDC concerning economic development.

The commission approved the purchase of new equipment for the Police Dept:

26 new “Flash Bangs” and reloading equipment in the amount of $7716

equipment from Defense Technologies was approved in the amount of $2294.75

The Commission approved the purchase of 10 new Patrol Rifles and accessories in the amount of $16,917.69 from Brown Els.

Funds to purchase equipment for the Police Dept. Will come from the Drug Forfeiture Fund.

Lastly, payment of the city’s vouchers amounting to $2,102,167.32 met approval
