Joe Denoyer - June 11, 2019 8:03 am

A 10-year-old Guymon boy was flown to Amarillo for treatment of a leg injury Monday after a single-car accident southwest of Guymon.

The accident occurred about 5 p.m. Monday, June 10, on County Road II when the driver of a 2006 Lincoln lost control on a curve, according to a news release from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

A 2006 Lincoln Mark LT was driven by Nancy Briceno Maldonado, 31, of Guymon.

Maldonado’s Lincoln was northbound on Farm-to-Market Road 1262 at County Road II, lost control on a curve, and rolled three times.

The 10-year-old passenger, whose name has been withheld because he is a juvenile, was ejected from the back window and was found 57 feet from the vehicle.

Also injured in the rollover was Maria Briceno, 59, also of Guymon. Briceno was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Guymon.

Briceno later was flown by Apollo Med Flight to the University of Oklahoma Medical in Oklahoma City, where she was admitted in stable condition with internal trunk injuries.

The boy was flown by Apollo to Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo where he was listed in stable condition with a leg injury.

Maldonado was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Guymon, and later to be flown by Apollo to Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, where she was listed in stable condition with trunk injuries.
