A One Vehicle Rollover Accident Injures Iowa Man

A one vehicle rollover accident Thursday morning has injured an Iowa man. The accident occured at approximately 11:50am at the Meade/Seward county line on Highway 54.

A 2006 Ford pick up being driven by Leonard Mauk, 67, of Des Moines Iowa was heading east on Highway 54 when he hit a patch of compacted snow and lost control of the vehicle. Mauk over corrected and crossed into the westbound lanes and then overturned into the north ditch. He was taken to the Meade District Hospital with possible injuries.

Two other passengers in the Mauk vehicle, Jane Mauk, 63, and Christopher Mauk, 3, were not injured in the accident. Seat belts and a child restraint were in use in the vehicle.
