The Liberal soccer team is proving to be the elite team in the WAC once again. Liberal beat Garden City 4-0 at Garden City Memorial Stadium Thursday marking their second WAC road win this week (2-1 over Dodge City Tuesday). Liberal scored their first goal on a penalty kick fifteen minutes into the game which resulted in a Garden City red card. Eduardo Campos blasted the first goal in the net. Eduardo Moreno scored the game’s second goal. Jose Chavira found the back of the net twice in the second half. Socorro Martinez and Hector Mata both assisted goals. Liberal is 5-1 overall and 3-0 in the WAC. The JV game finished in a 0-0 tie. Liberal hosts Andover next Friday at 5:30 pm.
