Seward County Commission Meets, Makes Fair Board Appointments

The Seward County Commission met on Monday and Proclaimed the week of October the 7th-13th as National 4-H Week in Seward County. Commissioners also appointed Rosa Conley Mona Arredondo, Brandee Cochran, and Erin Atchley to the Seward County fair Board.

Ada Linenbroker was appointed to the County’s position on the Liberal/Seward County Development Corporation and the Commission approved the WIC Agreement.

The Seward County Commission approved the Fiber Circuit for the New Health department with United Telecom in the amount of $488.50/month, and approved the 2018 Audit contract with Hay, Rice, and Associates for $42,750.00.

The Commission approved journal entries to reimburse expenses associated with the Residential Firefighter Building, pay future expenses of building costs and utilities from the General Fund, not to exceed $81,641.57; the amount the Fire Department was shorted due to non-payment of taxes.
