County Commission Meets, Approves Forming Extension District

The Seward County Board of Commissioners met Monday evening for their regular meeting and approved forming an Extension District with other Extension Agencies in the area. The request for facility fee waiver for the Ag Building for the Sigma Alpha group was denied due to the lack of a second, and the Commission gave Brock Theiner the approval to pursue a contractor for Cap project on cell’s 1 and 2 of the landfill.

Commissioners approved the UTV Side by Side bid for a Polaris Ranger 570E UTV side-by-side from Snider Motorsports for the amount of $11,229.00, and approved the Scraper Lease Purchase agreement with the Bank of Beaver City in the amount of $253,765.51.

The request for the Times 2 File System for the Health Department was tables, a generator for the Emergency Management Department was approved and due to the Kansas Association of Counties Annual Meeting, the Commission moved the October 15th meeting to Friday October 12th.
