Attorney Asks For Charges To Be Dropped

Defense attorney Derek Miller is seeking to have charges of aggravated assault and obstruction dismissed against his client Lexy Garza.

But Grant County Attorney Robin Hathaway has said that both Lexy Garza and her husband, Ramiro Garza Jr., should be prosecuted for the shooting of Ulysses resident Esequiel Gutierrez.

Now it’s up to District Judge Clint Peterson to decide.
