US 83 Mill and Overlay Project in Seward County

Joe Denoyer - August 3, 2018 9:11 pm

Crews are expected to begin a mill and overlay project on U.S. 83 in Seward County on Monday, August 6.  The project will begin at the Kansas/Oklahoma state line and continue north to the Satanta cutoff.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane controlled by flaggers and a pilot car.  KDOT urges drivers to be alert, pay attention to all work zone warning signs, and be prepared to stop.

APAC Shears of Hutchinson is the contractor on this $1.4 million project which is expected to be completed in September, weather permitting.

For more information on this project, contact Larry Myer, Construction Manager, at (620) 624-4451 or Lisa Knoll, KDOT District 6 Public Affairs Manager, at (620) 765-7080.
