Liquor By The Drink in Beaver County Passes 719-714

KSCB News - July 1, 2018 4:34 pm

Residents in all of Oklahoma’s “dry” counties have voted to go wet, but one county’s results prior to canvassing, was still up in the air.
Beaver County was one of 14 counties that approved a proposition allowing for liquor sales by the drink in Tuesday’s election. Unofficial results showed Beaver County passed the measure by seven total votes, but the county still had to count 10 provisional ballots.
Beaver County Election Board Secretary Christi Landsen says the election board met Friday to count the final votes, which could have reversed the election outcome. After canvassing the measure passed 719 yes with 714 no.
Oklahoma Beer Alliance President Lisette Barnes says the 14 counties’ results will allow Oklahoma to undergo alcohol-related changes in a more uniform manner.
