USD 480 Board Meets, Approves Pay Increases for Substitutes

The USD 480 Board of Education met in regular session on Monday evening with a full agenda.  The board took action on several items including the renewal of property and liability insurance with EMC through Al Shank Insurance, renewal of the PowerSchool/Infosnap software programs, and approved for the demolition of the former Lincoln Elementary school in the coming weeks.

 

The board also approved the required increase of $0.05 for meal prices per the USDA Paid Lunch Equity Tool. K-5 lunch price will be $2.85, 6-12 lunch will be $2.95, K-5 breakfast will be $2.00 and 6-12 breakfast $2.05.  Adult breakfast will be $2.25 and lunch will be $3.65.

 

Pay increases for substitute teachers, classified staff, and the building-level administrators base pay were also approved.  Finally, the board authorized Mrs. Hickert to negotiate with the City of Liberal on use of the former South Middle School.
