Liberal City Commission To Meet

The Liberal City Commission will Meet Tuesday, September 8th, at 6:30pm for their regularly scheduled meeting. On the agenda for the meeting is the final reading of Ordinance 4375. If approved, the commission would be adopting the Floodplain Management Regulations and Flood Insurance Map. Also the commission could make a decision on the Western Avenue Project. This item has been on the last three meeting agendas, and was the subject of a special meeting. The commission has been in the gathering of as much information stage to try and decide if the project and resurfacing should be done in asphalt of concrete. The complete project, from 15th Street south to Highway 54 could cost in the neighborhood of $4 million dollars. Also on the agenda for the commission to consider, is the renewal of the Arkalon Grazing lease with Max Louderback. As always, these meetings are open to the public.
