Liberal City Commission Meets, Approves End of Year Transfers

The Liberal City Commission met Tuesday evening and approved end of the year transfers. Included in the transfers were 1 percent sales tax transfers, 1/2 percent educational sales tax transfers and regular budgetary transfers.

Also Delinquent Accounts Receivable and Utility accounts were reclassified.

Commissioners approved an extension of the Industrial Revenue Bonds for Liberal Hospitality LLC until June of 2019. Plans are to construct a new Holiday Inn Express.

Also approved was a new fee structure for several areas within the City, Inventory software and hardware for the Water Plant in the amount of $6288.99, and the Commissioners accepted a $40,000.00 donation to construct a parking lot at the new Lambert Family Soccer Complex.

The Commission and audience then heard the final installment of the Sales Tax Presentations.
