Board States Intent to Terminate Tyson McGuire

The USD 480 board of education held a special meeting last night.  The board approved a resolution which states the board’s intent to terminate the contract of  teacher and coach Tyson McGuire due to sexual misconduct with  students.  McGuire is not fired yet.  He has 10 days to file an appeal.  That is part of the negotiated contract for all teachers in the district.  McGuire is suspended with pay. He is currently employed as a teacher, head cross country and track coach, P.E. department head, and AVID elective teacher.
