Montezuma Man Killed in a Monday Morning Accident

A Montezuma man was killed in a two car accident in Gray County Monday morning .
Zachariah Hammond, 21, of Montezuma died when his vehicle, a 2006 Dodge pickup collided head on with a 2017 Kenworth semi on US Highway 56. The semi was being driven by Robert Hoskinson, 53, of Cimmaron. Hammond was pronounced dead at Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City .
The accident occurred at 7:40am Monday morning at US Highway 56 at milepost 99.7.
Hoskinson was taken to Western Plains for his injuries.
