Liberal City Commission Meets, Approves the Sunset of the Water System Improvement Fee

The Liberal City Commission met Tuesday evening at 5:30pm inside the Commission Chambers for their regularly scheduled meeting.
Among the items on the agenda, the Commissioners voted to adopt Resolution 2263 which allows for the Water System Improvement Fee to sunset.

The Commission approved the Housing Department to submit for a Housing Rehabilitaion Grant and approved Ransom Financial to act as the Grant Administrator.

Also before the Commission was the waiver of Permit Fees for the North Liberal Redevelopment District. This waiver was granted.

The Commission approved the West 15th Street Project with J & R Sand to act as the contractor The project will run from Kansas Avenue west to Western Avenue.

Also approved at Tuesday night’s meeting were Updates to the ChooseLiberal.com website, and the purchase of Trash bags for the Solid Waste Department, a Vermeere Piercing Tool for the Water Department and Body Armor and Ammunition for the Police Department.

The next meeting of the Liberal City Commission will be June 27th.
