LPD to Take Part In Prescription Drug Take Back Day

Joe Denoyer - April 27, 2017 9:30 pm

The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse and medications.
On Saturday, April 29th, 2017, between the hours of 10:00am and 2:00pm, the Liberal Police Department will be participating in the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. This event will be hosted by Dillon’s, located at 1417 N. Kansas Ave. A Liberal Police Officer will be present to collect the prescription narcotics and provide information on the program and potential for abuse involving prescription narcotics.
This event offers a chance for citizens to turn in unused or expired prescription medication for safe disposal.
