480 Board Approves Additional Nursing Position

The USD 480 Board of Education met Monday night.  The board approved an additional nursing position for the district.  This will give the district a nurse for every school other than the early learning center.

The board approved purchasing die cut equipment for teachers to use to make poster board materials.  This equipment was purchased for all five elementary schools and the early learning center for $57,375.

The board renewed the contract of their website provider Gabbert.  The company will continue to provide the parent communication system.

The board bought new and updated desktop computers for food service for $12,700.

The 480 board bought two zero turn mowers from Keating Tractor and Equipment for 22 thousand dollars.

LHS activities director Clarinda Weatherwax proposed a boys swimming program for LHS.  The high school currently has girls swimming and is looking into adding boys swimming.
