That” Liberal Band Hosts Fish and Chicken Fry

Joe Denoyer - March 24, 2017 11:14 am

“That” Liberal Band Boosters have purchased a new and better fish product this year. Yummy Tilapia fillets with a panko breading. This new delicious fish will be accompanied with chicken strips, hushpuppies, buttery corn, Cole slaw and cheesy potatoes. Don’t forget about the cool refreshing ice tea or water and yummy homemade desserts to buy for a $1.00 each.

All of this scrumptious food for a decreased price of $10 for adults, $5 for kids 4-10 & free for kids 3 & under.

The 37th Annual “That” Liberal Band Fish Fry kicks off on Friday, March 31st from 5:00pm to 7:30pm at the Seward County Activity Center.

As years before, both Jazz bands will be providing wonderful music entertainment throughout the evening and all band members and their parents will be serving patrons the delicious food.

There is always a takeout line, if you are in a hurry, but the dine in lines will be running quickly and efficiently with everyone helping out. The proceeds go to support students in the band to offset the costs of uniforms, fees to festivals, meals, and lodging for the coming year. Tickets may be purchased from LHS band members until Friday, March 24, 2017, and they may then be purchased the LHS band office at (620) 604-1275, or at the door on March 31.

The LHS band staff and boosters wish to thank the many Liberal businesses and individuals who are donating support items and cash toward this year’s fish fry. We would especially like to thank the businesses who participated in our new sponsorship levels – Southwest Medical Center and Community Bank. Now, we invite the general community to come be part of one of the events that make Liberal unique.

Please come out and enjoy a yummy meal, great entertainment, a wonderful night to visit with others in our community and show support to “That” Liberal Band.
