Two Injured in Gray County Accident

A two vehicle accident occurred Saturday evening at 7:19pm on US 56 at the K23 Junction, 9 miles south of Cimarron.

A 2010 Kia being driven by Darrell Powers, 33, of Meade was Northbound on K23 when he failed to stop at a stop sign, striking a 1998 Chevy pick up driven by Harry Timberman, 52, of Larned KS who was Westbound on US56.

Timberman was injured in the accident and taken to Western Plains Regional Hospital, as was a passenger in Powers vehicle, Jamie King, 42, of Sterling Oklahoma.

Three other passengers in the Kia, including two children were not injured.
