Car Chase Damages Dodge City Airport

Joe Denoyer - February 2, 2017 12:10 pm

A lengthy law enforcement chase in Ford County Wednesday ended with two people arrested, and damage to property at Dodge City Regional Airport.

A statement from Sheriff Phil Carr said the chase began when a deputy on patrol noticed a driver with a state warrant in southeast Dodge City. The unidentified driver fled, beginning a chase which lasted about 20 minutes.

Carr said two suspects in the vehicle were arrested without incident on U.S. 50, east of Dodge City. Both people were under warrants for arrest.

“Airport property was damaged as a result of the pursuit,” Carr said.
