City of Liberal To Hold Community Meeting On 6 Points, Start Work on Kansas Ave.

The City of Liberal will conduct a community meeting relating to the 6 Points intersection on Thursday, February 2, 5:30pm at the Mahuron Park Building, 802 E. 8th Street. The public is invited to attend.

Also the City has sent notification that beginning Wednesday, February 1st, Abbott Construction will start construction of islands on Kansas Avenue north of 15th Street, near the North McDonalds. The construction should be completed by April 5th, weather permitting. During this time, Kansas Avenue will be one lane going North from Medical Drive to 18th Street. Kansas Avenue will also be one lane going south from 18th Street to Medical Drive.
