Formal Charges Filed Against Stanton County Sheriff

Cody Morris, the Sheriff of Stanton County  has been charged with domestic violence and two other crimes in a criminal complaint.
In the complaint filed by the Kansas Attorney General’s Office, Sheriff  Morris has been charged with one count of domestic battery, one count of criminal restraint and one count of criminal damage to property. A family member, Kristy Morris, is the alleged victim in the alleged incidents.
The  incident occurred on August 28, 2016 in Stanton County according to the complaint.
