Guymon Firefighters To Raise Money For Muscular Dystrophy

KSCB News - August 28, 2009 12:00 am

On Saturday, August 29, firefighters in Guymon will be taking part in the Fill the Boot campaign. The firefighters will be stationed at the intersection of Tiger and Highway 64 and the intersection of Main and Highway 54.

The firefighters will begin collecting money at 9 a.m. and will continue collecting money until 5 p.m.

According to Bryan Burson, Lieutenant at the Guymon Fire Department, the goal for the Fill the Boot campaign in Guymon is $4,000.

With several boots placed at convenience stores throughout Guymon, many people have already contributed to the fire department’s goal for the campaign.

The money that is collected stays in the community and helps send kids affected by muscular dystrophy to summer camp and helps with muscular dystrophy research
