Redskins Rally for Split with Ulysses

They went about it in different ways, but the results were the same. Ulysses won the first game 8-1 behind right hander Braden Langston before right handers Jared Fox and Collin Ware combined to hold down the Tigers in game two in a 10-5 Redskin win.

In game one, Ulysses righty Braden Langston pitched the distance allowing just three Redskin hits while striking out 10. Liberal’s Brent Lenear pitched 5 2/3 innings allowing four earned runs.

In game two, Liberal’s Jared Fox started the game and pitched three innings without allowing an earned run. The Tigers scored five in the second after the Redskins committed three errors. Collin Ware went four scorelesss innings allowing just two Ulysses hits. Lorenzo Pando, Jr. Acosta, and Brandyn Terrazas had two hits a piece.

Liberal is 2-3. This was the opener for Ulysses under first year head coach Adam Wiggington.

The Redskins play a single game at Guymon Saturday at noon.
