Liberal Bee Jays Season Comes to a Close

KSCB News - August 14, 2009 12:00 am

The Beejays took an early 2-1 lead into the bottom of the fourth inning before Glacier Pilot catcher, Daniel Dellasega hit a 3-run HR off Beejays starting pitcher, Logan Odom, to take a 4-2 lead.

In the top of the fifth inning Beejays catcher, Chad Comer knocked in Nick Kuroczko with a sacrifice fly and Mitch Caster scored from second base on an infield hit by Steven Tucker to tie the game at 4.

The Glacier Pilots regained the lead with one run in the sixth and blew the game open with eight runs in the bottom of the seventh inning thanks in part to three errors by the Beejays.

The Glacier Pilots advance to Saturday night’s championship round and will face the El Dorado Broncos after tonights 13-4 win over the Liberal Beejays.

The Bee Jays finish their season with a third place finish at the NBC going 5-2.
