Seward County Sets 2010 Budget

KSCB News - August 4, 2009 12:00 am

The Seward County Board of County Commissioners met Monday evening for their regularly scheduled meeting at 6:30pm in the Seward County Administration Building. On the agenda was the 2010 budget for Seward County. After a Public Hearing, County Commissioners approved the budget in the amount of $8,712,092.00. This reflects a slight increase in the Mill Levy for 2010. In other action items, the commission approved the Edward Byrne Grant for the Sheriff’s Department, approved entering into an agreement with Digitech for billing services for EMS, and approved Commissioner Wettstein to sign a letter to the landowners around the Greenhill Road project. Seward County Commissioners also heard a presentation from Norm Lambert, CEO of Southwest Medical Center on the hospitals bond. The next meeting of the Seward County Commission will be August 17, 2009.
