Liberal Native Wins One Thousand Dollars

KSCB News - August 3, 2009 12:00 am

Sometimes it pays to go to a wedding. Lisa Mills used to live in Liberal was back in town for a wedding Saturday and stopped by Bluebonnet Park for KSCB and KLDG’s Bail Out Bucks Party. She picked up a Bail out Buck and entered her number. She won one thousand dollars. She was one of one hundred people who walked away with prizes Saturday.

“It’s awesome!” I’ve never won anything in my life.” Mills lives in Lamar, Colorado. “I got my bailout buck when I came to the park today and I came down for a wedding. My friend was coming so I just hopped in and went with her.”

So what will Mills do with the money? “I have no clue yet. I’ll probably spend some money before I go home.”

Seaboard Foods cooked pork burgers, hot dog, and pork on a stick. Wooden Nickel performed for all who attended the promotion at Bluebonnet Park.
