USD 480 Purchases Security Cameras

KSCB News - October 20, 2015 6:02 am

The USD 480 school board voted to replace broken cameras at two schools Monday night. The board approved purchase of security cameras for McDermott and West from Tekstile for 61,108 dollars. These are the same kind of cameras which will be purchased for the new schools in Liberal. The district also purchased new servers for the camera system from AOS for 80,751 dollars. The money came out of the capital outlay.

The board also heard from construction manager Vanessa Jones regarding the concrete situation at Eisenhower Middle School on north Western. The district’s independent concrete test indicate the concrete meets all specifications. So despite taking longer than the district had hoped to have concrete ready, it now meets all requirements.

The board also updated language and cleaned up their policy book.
