City Commission Meets, Hears Annual Audit Report

The Liberal City Commission met Tuesday night at 6:30pm for their regularly scheduled meeting. Among the items on the agenda, the Commission heard from Dustin Ormiston of Hay, Rice, and Associates regarding the 2014 City audit. According to the audit, the City of Liberal is in very good financial shape. The Commissioners then approved the contract for Hay, Rice, and Assoc. to conduct the 2015 audit.

The Commission approved the closing of the East 8th Street project with a final payment to KDOT in the amount of $29,074.58.

Also the Commissioners appointed Ann Lamon to the Liberal Memorial Library Board, and designated Mayor Denoyer, Vice-Mayor Aragon, and Commissioners Carlile and Martinez as voting delegates to the Annual conference of the League of Kansas Muncipalities in October.
