Baker Arts Center Announces Brews and Barbeque Winners

KSCB News - August 26, 2015 11:44 am

The Baker Arts Center’s backyard was cooking last Saturday, literally. Eight contestants were smoking, grilling, and barbequing in the Art of Brews and Barbeques event. Judges had the tasty task of scoring the entries in four different meat and open categories. The top scores went to the team of 3 Blocks BBQ with Mike Aichele, Steve McKee, and Marty Ormiston winning the grand prize of a Traeger Tailgater Grill. Coronado Q Crew with Heather and Earl Watt was the runner up.

To help cool things off, and accompanying the barbequing, Rafter J’s Liquor and Standard Beverage Corporation brought a wide assortment of beers and ales for tasting. All who attended enjoyed sampling the delicious BBQ, thirst quenching beer, and visiting with friends.

The Baker Arts Center would like to thank the contestants, judges, volunteers, sponsors, and those who attended for making this a successful “end of summer” event and hope to see everyone again next year.
