USD 480 Board Approves Budget

The USD 480 board approved the school district’s budget Monday night. The budget for the 2015-16 school year is 62,789,298 dollars. Local revenues from tax payers total 9,792, 702 dollars. The rest comes from state and federal. This is up from last year’s budget of 58,361,242 dollars.

The board approved the insurance policy for kids in athletics at the schools from Al Shank Insurance for 78,200 dollars.

The board heard a report from J.E. Dunn regarding the construction of the new schools. They are looking toward bidding for phase two which includes the construction of Meadowlark and reconstruction of MacArthur.

Michelle Hay made a presentation to the board regarding school nurses and the wide range of duties they have in the schools.
