LPD Investigate Injury Accident

On Thursday June 4th at 12:54 p.m., officers of the Liberal Police Department were dispatched to an injury accident at the intersection of Eighteenth Street and Kansas Avenue. Responding officers observed that a Chevrolet Impala struck a Dodge Ram on Kansas Avenue. Upon investigation, officers found that a silver 2008 Chevrolet Impala was southbound on Kansas Avenue when a gray 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 truck heading east on Eighteenth attempted to turn left to head northbound on Kansas. The Chevrolet Impala struck the Dodge Ram causing disabling damage. The driver of the Dodge Ram was cited for fail to yield at a stop sign. The driver of the Impala was taken to Southwest Medical Center for minor injuries and was cited for driving without a license.
