Local Farmer Wins $2500 for Seward County 4-H

Mr. Fred Bloom of Seward County, KS has been selected as a winner in America’s Farmers Grow Communities, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund. The program enrolls farmers for a chance to win $2,500, which is then donated to the farmer’s nonprofit of choice. Fred Bloom selected Seward County 4-H to receive the donation.

The public is invited to attend the check presentation, which will include Seward County 4-H representatives, Fred Bloom and a Monsanto representative. The presentation will take place on Tuesday, March 10th, 2015 at 05:00 PM at the Seward County Extension Office 1081 Stadium Rd. Liberal, KS

America’s Farmers Grow Communities launched in 2010 and has grown to include 1,324 eligible counties in 40 states. Sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, the program is part of the America’s Farmers initiative, which highlights the important contributions farmers make every day.
