Saturday Afternoon Crash Injures Two Near Liberal

A Missouri couple is trying to recover from injuries after their vehicle ran off the road Saturday afternoon. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports 65 year old Eric Dean Davis was driving west on Highway 54 when his Ford pickup went left of center and entered the south ditch. The vehicle traveled through a chain link fence and over a dirt embankment. This occurred shortly after 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon one mile east of Liberal. The pickup was hauling a 5th wheel. Davis and his passenger 63 year old Julie Davis of Grain Valley, Missouri were both injured and taken to Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
