Fatality Accident Closes Down Hwy 270 In Beaver County

A double fatality accident in Beaver County closed down Highway 270 Sunday morning. The accident occured at 7:50am when a 2008 Chevrolet being driven by Sheldon Rose, 37, of Moore Oklahoma crossed the centerline, striking a 2014 Peterbuilt semi driven by 62 year old Barron Harris of Oklahoma City. Rose was pronounced dead at the scene from internal injuries, as was a passenger in his vehicle whose name is being witheld pending notification of relatives.

The driver of the semi, Harris, was not injured, however a passenger in his vehicle, Travis Brown, 31, was treated and released at Beaver County Memorial Hospital. A third passenger, Angel Valero, 36, of Yukon Oklahoma, was transported to Newman Memorial Hospital in Shattuck where he also was treated and released. Victims were pinned in the vehicles for 3 hours.

Seatbelts were in use in the semi, but not the Chevy.
