Seward County EMS Director Ralston Appointed To State Board

Kansas Governor Sam Brownback announced recent appointments to boards and commissions.

“I’d like to thank these Kansans for their time and efforts on behalf of our great state,” said Governor Brownback.

Kansas Board of Emergency Medical Services Appointments include:

The KBEMS ensures that quality out-of-hospital care is available throughout Kansas. They regulate all emergency medical services and providers in the State of Kansas in compliance with the Emergency Medical Act. The board comprises 13 members, each serving a four year term. Nine members are appointed by the governor and four are appointed by legislative leadership.

John Ralston, Liberal, is being reappointed to serve a four year term. Mr. Ralston earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas and currently serves as the Seward County EMS Director of Operations. He also teaches EMS classes at Seward County Community College.

Deborah Kaufman, Hoxie, is being reappointed to serve a four year term. Ms. Kaufman earned her bachelor’s degree at Friends University in Wichita. She currently serves as the Sheridan County EMS director.

Wendy Gronau, Lincoln, is being appointed to serve a four year term. Ms. Gronau attended Butler County Community College and currently works as the Lincoln County EMS director.
