Letter Carrier Food Drive Help Local Food Bank

KSCB News - May 13, 2014 10:01 pm

3,228 lbs. of food was collected during the 2014 Post Office Food Drive held May 10. The shelves at the Homecare Food Cupboard at the First Presbyterian Church were pretty bare before the drive. “We depend on the Stamp Out Hunger Post Office food drive — it is the largest single food donation we receive,” said Susan Roberts, executive director of HomeCare , which operates the Liberal Food Cupboard. “Our supplies were seriously depleted so this will be a big help.” This is 22st anniversary of the nation’s largest food drive.
