Seward County Commission Meets, Tables NRP

The Seward County Commission met Tuesday evening in the Commission Chambers at 5:30pm. Among the items on the agenda, County Commissioners tabled the Interlocal Agrrement with the City of Liberal regarding the Neighborhood Revitalization Plan. County Commissioners want to meet with City of Liberal’s Housing Director to gather more information and possibly make some adjustments to the propsed plan. Commissioners also approved a Grant application for the Health Department, an Encumbrance for District Court, Read a Proclamation regarding Fair Housing and Proclaimed March as Child Abuse Prevention Month. The commission also agreed to work with the Kansas Children’s Service League to find a 3-5 year old child in Seward County to represent Seward County and the KCSL. The Commission adopted Resolution 2014-03 which replaces Resolution 2001-07 regarding the Consent Agenda and how it is presented at each meeting.
