KDOT Worker Struck By SemiTruck

A worker with the Kansas Department of Transportation was struck Wednesday afternoon at 1:05pm while working on a road project on Highway 54, .9 mile East of K23 in the city of Meade.A 2007 International Semi being driven by Kerry Lee Batman, 49, of Ashland KS was backing eastbound on U54 when the 3rd axel on the right side of the truck struck Milton Tacha, 59, of Meade, injuring his leg. Tacha was taken to the Meade District Hospital to be treated for his injuries.
