CITIZENSHIP CLASSES

The Business & Industry Office at Seward County Community College/Area Technical School is offering new citizenship classes from 1-5:30 p.m., Sundays, Jan. 19-May 18 at the Colvin Adult Learning Center, 930 N. Kansas, in Liberal.

Interested students can enroll in the class from 1-6 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 12 at the Colvin Adult Learning Center.

The cost is $100 per person and the class will prepare eligible legal permanent residents for the United States naturalization process. The class will be taught by Elva Morales and will address:

· The application procedure

· American government and American history

· The U.S. Constitution and Declaration of Independence

· The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) interview procedure

AUDITIONS

Auditions for the spring production of “Into the Woods” at Seward County Community College/Area Technical School are 6:30-9:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 14 and 4-6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 15 in the Showcase Theatre, 1801 N. Kansas.

All of your favorite fairy tales will come to life in this Tony award-winning musical “Into the Woods.” The production together the classic tale of witches, wolves and magic beans in a mystical adventure you will not want to miss. The production takes the stage April 10-12.

HIGH SCHOOL VISITS

Seward County Community College/Area Technical School will be at a number of high schools for SCCC/ATS basketball nights.

College representatives will be at Tyrone High School, Monday, Jan. 13 for the high school basketball game.

College representatives will be on hand to talk about the college. High school juniors and seniors will have the opportunity to win a scholarship.
