Davis Nominated for Catchy Award

CatchItKansas.com is launching their Catchy Awards to honor the state’s best athletes. Liberal’s Nate Davis has been nominated at the Male Multi Sport Athlete of the Year. The winners are chosen by votes of the public which will run through July 31. Davis was the WAC football player of the year and all state at running back. He will play in next month’s Shrine Bowl. He went 33-5 and placed second at 189 pounds at the state wrestling meet. Davis placed third at the 110 hurdles at the state track and field meet. Davis will play football at Garden City Community College. Moscow’s Jace Moore was nominated for the state’s top baseball player. He was 9-0 for the Wildcats with a .29 ERA. He struck out 80 in 49 innings pitched. Moore also hit .512 with five homers and 33 RBI’s. Moore swiped 31 bases. Sublette’s track and field team is nominated for the best 2A team.
