KSCB News - November 22, 2013 10:27 am

The Oklahoma Mechanical Examiners Committee has approved the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration program curriculum at Seward County Community College/Area Technical School. Students who successfully complete the HVAC program can be awarded two years of apprenticeship experience towards Oklahoma Journeyman qualifications. To be a journeyman in Oklahoma, an individual must complete three years of HVAC apprenticeship experience, and successfully pass an appropriate HVAC Journeyman-level exam.

SCCC/ATS is now offering testing for the HVAC North American Technician Excellence (NATE) and Industry Competency (ICE) exams.

For more information, contact Chris Hickman, HVAC Instructor, at [email protected] or 620-417-1679.
