Bee Jays lose early lead in loss to Hays

The Liberal Bee Jays were not able to hold on to a 3-0 lead after one inning and a 4-2 lead after four innings in a 6-4 loss to Hays Wednesday night at Brent Gould Field. The Larks (6-6, 2-5) scored two in the fifth to tie the game and added single runs in the sixth and seventh innings. Oklahoma State’s Dylan Brown went 3-5 with a homer. Louisiana Tech’s Alex Williams was 2-2 with two doubles in the loss. OSU’s Brett Davis pitched three scoreless innings with two strikeouts in relief. The Bee Jays drop to 4-4 in the Jayhawk and 6-6 overall and will play a make-up league game Thursday at 7:00 PM in Dodge City. The game can be heard on 1270 AM and kscb.net.
