USD 480 Board Supports Student Led Prayer at Events

The USD 480 school board supports prayer at extracurricular activities. The item was not part of last night’s agenda but when board member Nick Hatcher brought the issue up during Monday night’s meeting, the board voted 7-0 in support of student led prayer before USD 480 activities. The board gives the issue a statement of support. It is not known yet how that would be implemented but it must be student led. Traditionally in Liberal, pastors led a prayer before high school football games until recent years.
